Troufakia (Chocolate Truffles with Walnuts)
Troufakia satisfies a craving for chocolate with a slight crunch from petit beurre biscuits and walnut. The addition of coconut creates a more complex taste for a slightly more indulgent Greek treat.

Troufakia (Chocolate Truffles with Walnuts)

Ingredients

  • 6 oz petit beurre biscuits
  • 5 oz melted dark chocolate
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 tbsps cognac
  • 3 tbsps cream
  • powdered cocoa

How to make

  1. Chop chocolate and then melt in a double boiler
  2. Crush biscuits in a large bowl. Combine melted chocolate and biscuits.
  3. Add walnuts (chopped), milk, and cream, pour in cognac.
  4. Let cool in fridge for 1 hour.
  5. Shape mixture into small balls then roll truffles in cocoa powder before serving.
