Cold, refreshing and a wonderful complement to tapas, sangria is a Spanish speciality that I can't help but love. There's something about the fruity flavor (and quite literally the fruit) in combination with strong flavored liquor that is wholly satisfying.

  • ½ Orange sliced into small pieces(with rind)
  • ½ cored, chopped Apple
  • 37.5 g organic cane sugar
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • 1 bottle dry red wine
  • Ice

How to make

  1. Combine orange, apple and sugar in a pitcher then muddle with a wooden spoon for one minute
  2. Add brandy and orange juice, stirring again
  3. Incorporate red wine and adjust drink according to taste
  4. Add ice and serve
