The days are far longer, the weather warmer, and spirits higher; summer has undeniably made an appearance. As you reminisce on the long, summer holidays of childhood, take full advantage of any free time that you do have and celebrate those amazing events available close to home.
Regents Park Open Air Theatre
Regent's Park is constantly bustling with life as it's spread across 395 acres and located in central London. The Open Air Theatre at Regent's Park puts on high quality theatrical performances throughout the summer.
'A Tale of Two Cities' will be playing between 7th July - 5th August and 'Oliver Twist' will be showing from 17th July - 5th August. Bring a bottle of wine and a picnic to enjoy a warm summer evening in front of the stage.

Summer is festival season and London surely delivers. If you're considering attending a music festival, buy your tickets as soon as possible as tickets sell fast due to the overwhelming popularity and the limited nature of tickets available.
Lovebox runs for two days in Victoria Park from 14th - 15th July. It's a huge and thoroughly entertaining affair with headliners like Frank Ocean, Solange and Mac Miller. In August, South West Four runs from 26th - 27th in Clapham Common, with muscians such as Deadmau5 and Knife Party for a slightly different vibe.

If willing to venture a little out of the city, Parkside Farm may indeed be worth the trip. Located in Enfield, Parkside Farm opens it's doors to the public and offers 'pick your own' berries.
The farm welcomes children, so why not make it a family day out? With strawberry season in full swing, the pickings will surely be sweet and juicy, as well as blackberries, raspberries and other vegetables available.

Located at the Tobacco Dock in London, there are over 100 types of gin available for tasting at this boozy festival. The event was hugely popular when it debuted in February, so it's back for round two.
Additionally, there will be gin masterclasses, decadent food, a cocktail bar, live music and the chance to meet gin distillers in person. Gin Festival 2017 takes place from 25th - 27th August and tickets are on sale for £18.
