Vegan Seitan Burgers
Who doesn't love a good burger? These are so easy to make and so scrumptious... perfect.

Vegan Seitan Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 Small White Onion
  • 1 Tsp of Agave
  • 1 Cup Defrosted Soya Mince
  • 1/2 Cup Black Beans
  • 1 Tsp of Paprika
  • 1 Tsp of Garlic Pepper
  • 1 Tsp of Onion Salt
  • 1 Tsp of Rosemary
  • 1/2 Tsp of Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp of Dried Chilli Flakes
  • 1/4 Cup + 1 Tbsp of Wheat Gluten

How to make

  1. Fry the onions in 1 tbsp of coconut oil, for 5 minutes on medium heat.

  2. Add the agave and fry for further 2-3 minutes until golden and caramelised.

  3. Add the onions, black beans, soya mince and seasoning to a food processor and blend on high for 3 minutes.

  4. Add the wheat gluten to the mixture in the food processor, and 2 tbsp of water and blend until well combined, (1-2 minutes).

  5. Mould the mixture into 4 equal sized burger patties.

  6. In a large flat pan, heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil on medium heat.

  7. Place the burgers in the pan (I did it one at a time) and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Serve in a bun with vegan cheese, salad, and hot sauce for a truly great burger!
