This classic recipe has always been a firm favourite at the Christmas table. The sage and onion bring out the flavours of the turkey beautifully. This recipe is great as a side or to stuff in the turkey also.
1 garlic clove
100g white breadcrumbs
1kg sausage meat
Handful fresh parsley
Handful fresh sage
1 egg, beaten
How to make
Chop parsley, sage and the onion finely
Heat a fying pan and start frying the onion on a low heat with a knob of butter for around 8 mins
Place breadcrumbs, onion and garlic in a large bowl and add 70 ml of water and start mixing together.
Mix in parsley, sage and sausage meat
Mix in enough beaten egg to bind the mixture
Place in a baking tray and cook at 190˚C for approx 35-40 mins
