Dauphinoise Potatoes
The mix of cheese, garlic and thinly sliced potatoes make this traditional French dish a classic! This quick and easy recipe is perfect for any meal time.

Dauphinoise Potatoes


  • 500g potatoes
  • 200ml double cream
  • 100ml whole milk
  • 50g gruyere cheese
  • 1 clove of garlic

How to make

  1. Preheat the over to 180°C

  2. Slice your potatoes thinly and place in a bowl of cold water

  3. Pour the milk and cream into a large saucepan and bring it to a simmer. Add the garlic and potatoes and leave on a low heat for 10 minutes.

  4. Grease up a tray and transfer the potatoes into it and sprinkle with gruyere cheese.

  5. Bake for 25 mins in the oven until golden.
