Cranberry turkey brine

Cranberry turkey brine


  • 1.9ltrs cranberry juice
  • 950ml water
  • 240g coarse salt
  • 120 ml apple juice
  • 120 ml orange juice
  • 12 cloves garlic (unpeeled and lightly smashed)
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 6 bay leaves

How to make

  1. Combine all of your ingredients in one large pot.

  2. Add turkey to pot, making sure that brine covers turkey. If not, add more water to the mixture.

  3. Brine for approx. 1 hour per pound.

  4. Thoroughly rinse all the brine from the turkey, inside and out, before cooking.
