The Txoko Supperclub
The Txoko Supperclub was started by two foodies (Wendy and Reshma) who met randomly on a boring project and found out that they had something VERY important in common - food. And wine. And cooking. And feeding big groups of people. And looking at said peoples' happy faces when they've had good food, good wine and a good time. And....you get the drift? :-) After a while of only talking about it, in April 2017 they took the plunge and decided to trial their supper club with friends as guinea pigs. The said guinea pigs LOVED everything about the supper club and encouraged by their very valuable feedback, The Txoko Supperclub was officially born.
We've had a few more successful runs purely from word of mouth and are now taking the next step on our adventure! So whats the deal? Well, glad you asked! We aim to cook and feed you an eclectic selection of dishes from around the world, carefully paired with complimentary wines. We design our menus keeping in mind seasonal offerings, but deliberately choosing ingredients and cooking styles ever so slightly off the predictability of the beaten path... The format is always a four-course meal, complemented by a welcome drink when you walk in, two wine pairings (where Reshma will lead you through the 'tasting'!) and a little naughty something with your dessert. It is what traditional gastronomic societies were called, where members come together to cook, drink and socialise and generally have a good time!
