Wagyu Beef Stir Fry

  • Meat Me At Home Diced Wagyu (500g)
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 heaped tsp black bean Lao Gan Ma sauce
  • 1 tsp honey/sugar
  • 8 spring onions, roughly chopped
  • Small bunch of coriander, for serving
  • Light soy sauce to taste

You'll need

A wok

How to make

  1. Prepare all your ingredients first so they're ready to throw into the wok. Add a small amount of groundnut/rapeseed oil (not olive oil) to the wok. Get the wok really hot.
  2. Add the Lao Gan Ma and stir-fry for 15-20 seconds.
  3. Add ginger and garlic, stir-fry for 5-20 seconds (no longer or it will burn).
  4. Add the onion and pepper, stir fry for a minute.
  5. Add the chunks of beef and stir fry for 2 minutes (longer if you prefer your beef well done)
  6. Add soy sauce and a couple of tbsp of water.
  7. Add spring onion and honey/sugar. Cook for another 30-60 seconds.
  8. Serve with rice and fresh coriander.
