Quick Lemon & Peach Kefir Ice Cream
Craving ice cream but trying to be healthy? This raw fruit kefir ice cream recipe combines the two. You get all the probiotic goodness with lots of vitamins, it’s much lower in calories than ice cream and it still tastes great. You don’t need an ice cream maker as it’s all done in a food processor – it’s also a deliciously good way to use up ripe fruit. This recipe makes about half a litre.

Quick Lemon & Peach Kefir Ice Cream


  • 3 cups of peeled ripe peach slices
  • 1/2 lemon, juice and zest
  • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup Little Bird Kefir 6 Day Course
  • A little pinch of salt

How to make

  1. Place the peach slices in a single layer on a sheet of tin foil and pop in the freezer for a few hours or overnight till rock hard.

  2. Once done, put all the ingredients in a food processor and blitz until smooth with no lumps.

  3. Place back in the freezer to firm up. This ice cream stays totally scoopable!
