Señor Buddha's

Trading Since

Señor Buddha started life as an experiment in taste, and has evolved into something quite extraordinary and uniquely different from the norm.

Something which food critics are calling “Superbly executed, thought provoking food”.

I started out creating food based on my 2 favourite cuisines; East Asian and Spanish. I fell in love with the simplicity and general ethos; “Good food that brings all walks of life together”. My thinking is that great food should be enjoyed by everyone and shouldn’t be elitist; it should be a way of life. After all, if you don’t eat, you’ll die. So why not eat food that makes you feel alive?

What I hope I have achieved is a unique tapas style, but without using the generic East Asian curry menu everyone in England has come to know. East Asian cuisine has 4 main elements; hot, salty, sweet &; sour. The food should be fresh, aromatic, colourful and bursting in flavour, yet very delicate. I wanted to push the boundaries using some of the Spanish tried and tested classics, but with East Asian flavours. These cuisines both rely heavily on fresh ingredients and big, contrasting flavours. Fusing these together in a way which worked proved challenging, but incredibly rewarding.

Having travelled across Spain and Eastern Asia, I have obtained great knowledge of the cuisines from both areas, allowing me to combine flavours that other, less adventurous chefs simply wouldn't think of. It's this insight and imagination that my food is turning heads - for all the right reasons.

Señor Buddha have held exclusive pop up kitchens around Brighton &; Hove, and now has opened its doors to the public at preston circus
