Pirate's Grog Rum
Hackney based boutique rum company, sharing award winning golden rum from Roatán, Honduras
Pirate's Grog is a boutique rum company that began on the island of Roatán, situated 40 miles off the coast of Honduras. In 2014, the crew set up HQ in Hackney Wick, London, and began distributing throughout the UK and Europe.
The Pirate's Grog product range includes the original 5 Year recipe, 'Pirate's Grog No.13' an exquisite single cask 13 year aged rum and the latest product to join the line-up is a coffee infusion titled ‘Pirate’s Grog Black Ei8ht’. The original recipe is aged for 5 years in white American oak barrels, resulting in an exceptionally smooth golden rum with notes of raisin, butterscotch and vanilla. The No.13 is an exquisite single cask golden rum from Central America. It’s rich and full bodied with notes of apricot, peach, white chocolate and vanilla. This limited edition rum is housed in an award-winning bottle, and has captured the attention of rum enthusiasts around the globe.
The story behind the name Pirate's Grog derives from days of old when pirates and buccaneers used Roatán as a resting point between voyages, as this small island provided a safe haven for trade. To retain the authenticity, Pirate's Grog products are hand bottled and bespoke, and the gift sets are completed with personalised wax sealed scrolls.
