No Nuts Breakfast Bar
These nut free bars are rich in vitamins and minerals and really simple to make. A great solution when it's easier to turn to convenience foods or skipping breakfast altogether

How to make

  1. Blitz the desiccated coconut in a food processor until very fine
  2. Transfer to a bowl along with the golden flax seeds (linseeds), sesame seeds, chia seeds, squares of chocolate, salt and cinnamon. Stir to combine and set aside
  3. Blitz the dates, coconut nectar, tahini and coconut butter in the food processor until smooth
  4. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients and massage together using your finger tips
  5. Divide the mixture into 8 portions
  6. Melt the chocolate bar in a glass bowl, over a pan with around 5cm of boiling water in, then drizzle over the dehydrated bars.
  7. Store in an airtight container in the fridge

For a crispier bar

  • If you have a dehydrator with a mesh tray, once the bars are shaped, place on the tray, and leave at 40°c for 24 hours
