Alexia founded GRAIN & BOWL in 2015 driven by her passion for food and her own experiences with food intolerances. After being medically advised to try a low FODMAP diet she learnt that she could only tolerate certain ingredients such as honey, dates, apples and agave nectar in the smallest of quantities. Inspired by her restauranteur father’s cooking and being an avid foodie herself she went about creating recipes that not only agreed with her digestive system but also tasted out of this world for all to enjoy. Her focus has always been on using simple, natural, healthier and organic ingredients that people know and understand.
