Vermouth, but not as you know it
Vermouth. Not that dusty bottle at the back of the drinks cabinet, but a vermouth which uses fresh, fruity wines and adds natural botanicals, herbs and blossoms to bring out all the delicious flavours from the grapes. The category is is having a huge resurgence at the moment and leading the way is Belsazar. Named a Top Ten Food and Drink Trend by The Times, it's time to put away that bottle of Gin or Vodka, and use Belsazar as the main ingredient in your cocktails, aperitifs or even just mix it with tonic!
Belsazar Vermouth was founded in 2013 by Sebastian Brack and Maximilian Wagner. Looking for a partner who could keep up with the founders’ requirements for the highest quality and perfection in production, Philipp Schladerer, fifth generation Schladerer Distillery on the edge of the Black Forrest, was that partner. With 170 years experience of producing high quality fruit brandies, which are also used to aromatise Belsazar Vermouth, together they have created a complex and innovative wine aperitif. Belsazar Vermouth, a modern classic.
